Comai – Sleep a bit in the sky

Amóñoji gaté

Let’s pray:

Dupade, you dwell above the sky, you see all of us, Dupade, you are the one we believe in. It is you who created this earth, you who made the people in it, and you, Dupade, know what we are thinking.

We Ayoreos ask God to change us:

Dupade, you are ours. We ask you to help us today to turn our eyes upon you. We know how powerful you are, Dupade, powerful enough to change us and to show us true things in your Words.

We pray to Dupade who is greater than all:

We know, Dupade, that we have an enemy who is Satan, and that Satan is a walking spirit. Satan hates your Word. He doesn’t want us to know your Words, and we know that Satan is more powerful than we are, and his strength is greater than ours. He is smarter than we humans are, but how thankful we are that we have your Son Jesus and he is the one we listen to, and he is much greater than our enemy Satan. We trust in your Son Christ Jesus and your Son tells us that he is with us. He tells us he wants to help us and give us understanding of your Words. He also takes care of us and protects us from Satan.

We pray to Dupade that gave his Word to us:

Oh, Dupade, you are the one we trust. We are so grateful to you, that now we Direquedéjnagosode and Cochacóigosode know you because we believe in your Son Jesus. We know that we were fierce and evil people before, Dupade, but that was when we did not know your Words.

We didn’t know your Words before they reached us Direquedéjnaigosode and Cochacóigosode. So we are so thankful that in these days these two groups of Ayoréos have heard your Word and have believed in you. Your Words have been working in our hearts. I know we used to be fierce people, living in the jungle. We didn’t know your Words then. But once we knew your Words, you changed us because we believed in You.

We pray to Dupade who hears our prayers for our fellow Ayoreos:

I have faith in you, Dupade, that one day you’re going to do what we asked concerning our friends, the Guidaigosode. And some of them will also believe in you. And some of them will give themselves to you and you will put your Words in them.

Dupade, hear these prayers of ours. We have been praying for the Guidaigosode for a long time, for they are our fellow Ayoréos. Save them, also, Dupade, from sin. In that way you can take some of them and, through your Words, bring them to faith in your Son Jesus.

Give understanding to all of us, Dupade. And give understanding to our friends, the Guidaigosode and to the missionaries who are with them who believe in you also. Help them to know how to teach the Guidaigosode about your Word also. Take your Word to our friends the Guidaigosode, for we want the whole world to be reached with your Word so that we all may know what your Son Jesus has said about coming back for his believers and taking them with him to Dupade’s town.

We leave our prayers in your hands, Dupade, because of your Son Jesus’s name. Amen.
