Forked sticks:
The invitation to play is: “Make your forked sticks for throwing and we’ll throw them and see who’s stick goes farthest!”
They gamble with this game. They make forked sticks to play the game about the size of a hand. It is played by younger and older men. The stick is called: * imichiracua. And the stick is made of wood from trees described as urenie. The longest part of the sling-shot type stick is the *isapídi, the handle. Cajoidé used the term *ore chajote, in describing what they do with it, but I didn’t catch the meaning of the term. The term for throwing the sticks is *yimichigácoi jne (we’ll throw them). Their sticks are sometimes marked with clan marks so that they can identify who’s stick went farthest and for finding their sticks.
