Ecarai – Saul Persecuted Those Who Believed In Jesus

Saul persecuted those who believed in Jesus

I will tell you about someone who persecuted Jesus’ believers:

The enemy of Jesus’ believers was named Saul. He did not yet believe in Jesus himself, and he persecuted those who did believe. He went to his leaders and said to them, “Give me written permission and I will go to Damascus to arrest those who are believers in Jesus. I will kill some and imprison others.”

His leaders gave him the written permission, and right away he left for Damascus to arrest Jesus’ believers.

When he was near Damascus Jesus appeared to Saul:

When he was nearing the city, Jesus appeared to him and caused him to become blind.

That is how it is if a person sees Jesus but doesn’t believe he is DupadeDupade takes away his sight, his spiritual sight.

The men that went with Saul could not see Jesus. They only heard words coming from above. Jesus split their gall bladders! But only Saul understood the words Jesus spoke and he asked Jesus, “Who are you?”

Jesus said, “I am Jesus. I am the one you are persecuting.” He said this because it was as though when Saul persecuted his believers, he was persecuting Jesus himself. Therefore, he considered Saul his own persecutor.

Saul was frightened, and he said, “Lord, what do you want me to do?”

Jesus sent Saul into the city of Damascus:

But Jesus said, “Leave here and go to the city of Damascus, and when you’re there, I’ll tell you what I want you to do.”

Saul’s companions led him; Saul took hold of their arms and they led him because he couldn’t see. Jesus had blinded Saul, that’s why.

At the same time, Jesus also appeared to one of his faithful believers named Ananias. He said to him, “Go to the center of the city and look for a man named Saul.”

Dupade changed Saul’s name:

Paul’s name was Saul in the beginning, but when Saul believed in Jesus, Dupade changed his name to Saint Paul.

That’s how it is with us, too, us after children. For Jesus changes our names, too, and we’re called Christians. True believers in Dupade are all called Christians. If you want to, you can also believe in Jesus. The way to Jesus is open to you. Nothing stands in your way. Jesus said, “Come unto me, everyone that wants to. The door is always open to my house, but it is your door that is closed to me.”

What Jesus is referring to is not the door to our literal houses, but the door to our hearts. If you want Jesus in your life you must open the door to your heart to him. If you open your heart, Jesus will come in, and you and Jesus will fellowship together. Jesus will be with you in your earthly house and everywhere you go, because he will be with you in spirit; his Father’s Holy Spirit will be present in your heart. Jesus spoke about being together with you in your heart. (Revelation 3:20)

Quickly Paul began to teach people about God:

You will be like the apostle Paul now that you believe. When he put his faith in Jesus, right away he started telling others about the way to Dupade. At first, though, he was still afraid of people. He was shy about sharing his new-found faith, but Dupade wanted to use him anyway. He kept teaching him more and more. It’s like that with you when you first believe. You are shy about teaching your fellow Ayoreos about what Jesus did. But afterwards you lose that shyness. That’s because Jesus is your helper. It is really Jesus who is teaching others, but he is using your mouth to do it. So, if you want Jesus to use your mouth, give yourself to Him. Tell him, “Jesus, take my mouth and teach my fellow Ayoréos.” Yield yourself to Jesus when you pray to Dupade who is your Father.

Paul asked Jesus what he wanted him to do.

This Paul asked Jesus, “What do you want me to do?” That’s what he said to him.

Jesus told him, “Go into their city and then I will tell you what I want you to do.”

That is how it is with us right now. If we want to serve Jesus we say, “Lord, what do you want me to do?” Pray to Dupade if this is what you want to do and ask, “Our Leader Dupade, what do you want me to do?”

We pray to know Dupade’s will for us. We also pray about our health, and our other needs and ask our Father Dupade to supply our needs. We are His children and he is good to us. And since we are his children, he is always giving us the things we need.

If you believe in Jesus, you must always seek first the things that are above where he is, and then the things on earth. For Jesus said, “Look first for the things of heaven. Don’t look for the things on earth first.”

This is one of the first things Jesus teaches us to do when we believe in him. When Jesus and we are first joined together. He is now our Father. Dupade is our Creator, but the next thing we do after believing in him, is to serve him.

Jesus sent his faithful believer to heal Saul:

Jesus sent his faithful believer Ananias to Saul to heal him so that he could see again. Jesus said to Ananias: Go to Saul and tell him to take the news about me to the strange countrymen.” (Acts 9:15-18)
