Ijnamene Chedo Jupi
Ijnamene sings about Jupi:
I’m going to sing about Jupi who is also from the Étacõre Clan. I’m very tired of my fellow Étacõre Clan member Jupi and his abuses. I said: “Jupi isn’t careful with what he thinks about the daughters of the Chiquejnoi Clan; and he claims I say good things about his mother. (His mother is very nice, but I didn’t say good things about her.)”
Some girls came out to meet me and told me things. They said: “Ijnamene, you’ve arrived, but Jupi is following you, and wants you to go with him into the camp.”
But Ijnamene said: “That’s just what you think, he’s already got another girl and is just making fun of me. I’m through with him. I’m going to find someone from the Dosapeque clan, like myself, to be my husband, I’m referring to Orégajnúi.”
But I left Orégajnúi because he was jealous of Jupi, my former husband.
But Jupi said: “Go to Iyai and sleep with him.” I did, but quickly left Iyai also. And I went back to my fellow Étacõre clan member Jupi again.
