Ecábi chedo Pijnigámia
Ecábi Sings:
I will sing a bit. I will sing about Pijnagámia (Áquidaté). I was about to leave for work but she was up to no good and spilled the coffee she was boiling on me. I was a very disgruntled young man! I was through with girl friends! I decided to stop going with girls.
Yocaoi and I went to Rincón, but Yocaoi missed Tobité and he said: “Ecábi, let’s go back to Tobité. I really miss Tobité. When I look at the mountains it makes me miss Tobité.’
“Me, too,” I said. I look at the hills and a longing for Tobité comes over me, and I think those are our mountains, too. When I get to Tobité, I’ll think, ‘I’ll never leave here again.’ I’m so homesick for Tobité.”
Yocaoi said: “Me, too, Ecábi. Why, I don’t ever want to go anywhere else again.”
I said: “I really miss Tobité. I don’t want to see what it’s like in other places. Every other place is ‘blah.’ When I reach Tobité the whole land will seem good as I see the mountain. When I get myself to Tobité, I’m not going to leave again.”
Yocaoi said: “Ecábi, I feel the same way. I won’t ever go anywhere else. I’m going to stay in Tobité for many years.”
