I slept with Chícode, but I was bashful around him because he didn’t talk to me. So I broke up with him, because he didn’t talk to me, and I went to Ecarai. I liked Ecarai because he quickly started talking to me, but he told me that Chícode loved me.
Bariguéjnai hadn’t talked to me, but he came to me again, and said: “I was shy when I was with you.”
Bariguéjnai said: “I would like to be with you, Dapuré, if you’d have me.”
But Bariguéjnai deceived me. I went to him, but he didn’t want anything to do with me, because he was missing Uré.
So I started thinking about Ecarai again, because he didn’t deceive me, as Bariguéjnai had. I thought about Ecarai and how he was kind to people, to my older sister that had nothing to eat. I thought about leaving Ecarai. And other men told me: “Ecarai doesn’t work like I do. Stick with me.” But the men that said these things were just fooling around, and didn’t stay with me.
